 Who we are...

Craigieburn Art Group Inc.(C.A.G) was formed at a public meeting in March 1990, with art once held in the meeting rooms at St. Thomas’ Uniting Church, Craigieburn.

Now members can meet on every Monday 3pm to 5:30pm or Monday evening 7pm to 9:30pm  (except long weekends and public holidays) to work on their individual art work at Selwyn House (20 Selwyn Avenue, Craigieburn). Most of our members use oils, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, pen and ink, drawing with pencil and charcoal, etc. At the end of most sessions the members present their art work to the group and a constructive talk is held by way of helpful hints and encouragement. And our core of excellent artists are only too happy to pass on their knowledge to new comers.(COVID restrictions permitting).

CAG hold an Annual Art Exhibition as part of the Craigieburn Festival (End of summer). Members donate paintings as prize for a Special Effort to raise much needed funds for the Craigieburn S.E.S.

We also have an 8 week block of Free Art Workshops yearly, that the public can attend, as beginners or experienced artists who wish to expand their skills.

Each year the CAG give away Art Vouchers to five primary schools within Craigieburn area to encourage young pupils to continue their art.

This is a friendly group that enjoys the friendships which are made through their common love of art. You are all most welcome to attend our annual art shows.
